NOT A TORNADO, JUST A BIG GUST OF WIND - On June 29, a vicious wind storm ripped through the southeastern British Columbia Interior injuring 10 persons, un-roofing buildings and splintering trees. Wind speeds reached 110 km/h at the Creston Airport. The storm cut a swath through the town from one end to the other, tearing off siding and roofs including the local RCMP detachment. The $40 million project will ultimately feature a 100-room hotel, a creekside restaurant, an indoor-outdoor bar with a view of the downtown historic district, a multi-level parking structure, and a 2500-seat entertainment complex. The developers hope to open in July 2009. This video shows the work that has been completed to date, including demolishing the previous interior offices, digging out the mountainside in the back to make room for the hotel, digging out the interior floor down one story to accommodate the casino, and removing the outside siding to prepare for a new exterior. Domovinskomu ratu prethodila je pobuna dijela srpskoga pu?anstva u Hrvatskoj, koja je izbila u kolovozu 1990. Na strategijskoj razini Domovinski rat sastoji se od tri etape. U prvoj etapi, do sije?nja 1992., izvr?ena je agresija na Hrvatsku, koja je bila prisiljena na obranu. Oru?ani sukobi po?eli su izbijati u travnju 1991., a uz postupno priklanjanje JNA srpskim pobunjenicima, od kolovoza 1991., prerasli su u izravnu agresiju iz Srbije. U drugoj etapi, od sije?nja 1992. do svibnja 1995., do?lo je do zastoja u agresiji i do razmje?taja mirovnih snaga UN-a du? crta prijekida vatre. Za Hrvatsku je to bila etapa diplomatskih nastojanja i pregovora te strpljivog ja?anja snaga uz provedbu operacija takti?ke razine u kojima su oslobo?eni manji dijelovi teritorija.
