| Playing bass to fit the drum part ...Thu, 08 Jan 2009 20:29:47 -0800 by Pudsy440Just trying to point out how I look at the many possibilities of bass by jamming to the different parts of simple electronic drum loop. It's not perfect cause I did it really quickly but hopefully it gets my point across somewhat ... if not ... whatever ... :PI wish I had a real drummer ... oh well. :) This is what I've always found pretty cool and challenging about bass guitar. With the drums, you can play bass parts to the foot pedal, or along with the snare and high hat, you can find little rhythms just in the cymbals to play with or imitate. You can attempt to play a riff along with the tom toms ... haha ... then there's the guitar ... if you're crazy and talented, you can copy the lead guitar solo note for note or just jam with the rhythm guitar, etc. etc... then we have keyboard or horns to play with too... limitless!
