Like the rest of the exhibit it deals with the issue of "patterns" and "meanings in those patterns". The fundamental question for me is whether there is meaning or direction in the pictures that I see in the landscape of my mind - do they come from within or is there an external factor that guides them. This picture is actually based on a display for depth of market data from the stock market- it shows a river of time and on either side hills of competing forces - buyers and sellers that interact - more generally it's a picture of yin and yang - competing, conflicting but cooperating force creating patterns over time.
